This was taken in a graveyard in Fortingall, Scotland, while researching a book. The carving on the stone and atmospheric mood spoke to me.

    Hello Keron,
As beautiful as usual Keron. Cemeteries and graveyards always get my attention. You remember them in Spain, the small ones; maybe be you know the large ones in France from World War I and II. They all have their history, so when you spend enough time you may read them as a historic and interesting book. In the near future we will make room on our website (under construction) for some impressions from Galician cemeteries.
    Warm greetings from Holland,

    Hello Frans,
Yes, I remember the cemeteries in Spain….and in Holland as well. But I’ve not been to the ones in Normandy or the Somme. Another trip and hopefully soon. I feel as you do that they write parts of our history…on a broad scale as well as the deeply personal. I’m anxious to see your site. Will you be able to have a translation button? I love the Pilgrim Turtle.
    All my best,
