i think my favorite images are the first one and the last one for reasons that likely have to do with all they evoke for me. isn’t it always about the viewer? i can’t know your thoughts when you sat in the car waiting, but i loved the symphony of rain, wiper, train, and brain that i heard while in the car with you. i liked the silence between us, as i imagined it to be. thank you for this lovely pause.

that last image feels surreal. haunting. beautiful. as quiet as the train was noisy.

your work grows and with the changes comes depth. indeed, you continue to photograph as you are. evolving…it is a good thing.

we, your audience, are better because of all you do.

    happy new year, keron.

Thank you for this lovely, considered response. Of course it’s about the viewer! But the photographer HOPES to pass along some of the emotion, some of the reason for photographing in the first place. Then, in the best of all possibilities, deeper meaning is revealed. The resonance grows.

As for my thoughts while photographing? Well, 10% framing, 10% waiting for the right combo of cars to pass….2% thinking about “wipers on or off”….80% appreciating that in the midst of my hurrying (from restaurant to pick up some palatable treat to nursing home to offer same) I had to stop. So, I was giving thanks.

And in the same way, I give thanks for my audience. K
